Tomorrow is Turkey Day here in the US. The day we celebrate and give thanks for all the good things in our life, all the joys of the both the year in review and the hopes for the future.
Over the past year, I’ve:
Finished a manuscript
Attended my first RWA national conference
Got a few rejections on above manuscript (not that I’m giving up or anything!)
Bought a house/moved family to new house
Suffered through pneumonia
Buried some close relatives
Celebrated the births of new ones
And these are just a few of the things that spring to mind off the top of my un-caffeinated head.
So, while the pumpkin are baking tonight and I’m getting ready to host a dinner for family tomorrow, I’m going to write down a few more. When we go around the table tomorrow to give thanks for all the good in our lives, I know that no matter how tough things can be – we’ve got a good life and for that I’m grateful.
Need a way to get the creative juices flowing: Try this:
T – Time with family and friends
H – Hope for good things for the coming year
A – Achievements we’ve made throught the year – big & small – celebrate them all!
N – New things! (Just writing an erotic novella is something outside the box for me – a new genre, new style and new name – do I need anything newer than that?)
K – Kissing – don’t you think there should definitely more kissing going on? Kiss someone hello, kiss someone goodbye – don’t be afraid to show the love!
S – Smiles (and lots of ‘em) I want to see the smiles on my kids faces, my hubby and everyone around me – yes, happy people are more fun!
Your turn!
Enjoy your day!
Today’s Coffee: Green Mountain - Pumpkin Spice, with a hint of vanilla syrup (yum!)
